Farsighted people have difficulty seeing things close. Nearsighted people have difficulty seeing things far away. Most vision-impaired people are nearsighted. If you have trouble seeing, tell a parent or another adult you trust: you might need glasses.
You can also get contact lenses, which athletes may find better for playing sports, and some boys may prefer them to glasses. Wearing contact lenses requires a certain procedure, so boys should ask their optometrist (an eye doctor) or a trusted adult for guidance.
