A person’s comfort zone is how they live when they focus on amicable (peaceful) activities they are accustomed to doing. Noticeable advancement usually doesn’t happen when a person clings to their comfort zone. A person’s comfort zone can limit progress in life. To step out of your comfort zone, try new things a little at a time; small changes over time can lead to big changes in your life. Right outside the comfort zone is the afraid zone, where you feel discomfort at the thought of doing something. Then, there’s the educational zone, where you learn about the change you are planning to act on. Next is the results zone, where you take what you learned and try to complete it.

When many people try something new and make a big change right away, they’re less likely to follow through and do more things outside their comfort zone.
