Staying Safe Online

The Internet can be fun. However, remember that other people can download anything you put online. Others can also take advantage of the things you post. Remember: Do not post anything you don’t want others to see online, whether on your computer, phone, or tablet.

If anyone on the Internet asks to meet you in person, tell a trusted adult immediately. Anyone can create a phony profile online and claim they are a child. It happens all the time.

Don’t share personal information online, such as your address or cell phone number. Unfortunately, in life, there are some very bad people out there to be aware of. Take time to think, and always be very, very careful.
