Testicular Self-Examination

Boys should perform routine checks of their testicles while in the shower or bathtub. With his hand, a boy should feel around each testicle and press gently, checking for bumps, any change in size, or anything else that feels abnormal. If he notices anything, he must tell a trusted adult and see a doctor right away. If the boy is too shy to explain what he found to an adult in person, he can write down his concerns and give the paper to the adult instead.
