Keep an open mind and try on different types of underwear, such as boxers, briefs, boxer briefs, or a jockstrap. Underwear made from certain fabrics, including cotton, bamboo, and silk, can allow air to circulate around your privates and crotch more than manufactured fabrics, which means you will sweat and smell a lot less.

It is recommended to wear underwear and not go "commando," which means not wearing any underwear. If you don't wear underwear, there is more of a chance of you getting your privates stuck in your zipper, which can really hurt, and it could do some damage. It is also better to wear underwear between your pants or shorts and your body because it is more hygienic.
A jockstrap (athletic supporter) holds down your penis and testicles so that you can hustle around without them moving about during sports. Some jockstraps have a cup, which is a plastic cup that prevents your genitals from being hit or injured during sports. Some kinds of underwear can also hold a cup.
Getting smacked in the testicles is egregiously (extremely) painful for boys and men. Sometimes when boys are hit in the groin, they fall to the ground in extreme pain, holding their testicles. The pain can last for a while, as the boy hopes for the pain to subside (go away).
Feeling pain in your testicles is the body's way of protecting your testicles from being hurt and lets you know they are in danger, so that you are careful not to injure them.
Never kick or hit a boy in the testicles on purpose as it could result in a very serious injury.
