Hormones are chemicals that help cells interact with each other. As already stated, both boys and girls have hormones; in boys, it's called testosterone; in girls, it's called estrogen. Testosterone causes a boy’s body to go through puberty.
A boy's reproductive system includes the penis, scrotum, testicles, and the opening in the tip of the penis, the urethra.
Going through puberty, boys grow hair above and on the sides of their penis and testicles, and their penis grows.
Mood swings are the result of two things: one is the testosterone in your body. The other has to do with the transition from childhood to manhood.
Sometimes, pubescent boys want to do things they used to do before puberty but want to be treated like an adult. Also, at times boys want independence, but aren't mature and ready for full independence like an adult.
These factors might frustrate boys, and it is a good idea for a boy to talk with a grown-up he can trust about what he is experiencing.
