Penis Size

The average penis is between 5 and 7 inches (13 to 18 cm) long. The penis stops growing at the end of puberty.

To measure your penis, measure it when you have an erection. Measure it from the tip to where it connects to your body. Flaccid (not erect) penises can vary in length quite a bit.

White and Hispanic men have an average penis length of about 5.5 inches (14cm). The average flaccid (not erect) penis is 3.61 inches (9.16 cm). Black men are slightly above that length, and Asian men are a bit shorter. Despite stereotypes, the difference in average penis length between the races is not very much in general.

African American average: 5.81 inches (14.75 cm), White/Caucasian and Hispanic/Latino: 5.71 inches (14.5 cm), and Asian American: 5.08 inches (12.9 cm), Middle Eastern: a little below the average, Southeast Asian, South Asian, and East Asian: lower end of the average variation.

A healthy diet can also contribute to a boy's penis size. Obesity can make it seem like a boy’s or man's penis is shorter because of the excess weight around the base of the penis.

In Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome (2,200 to 3,200 years ago) and Ancient Rome (2,775 to 1,550 years ago), small penises were considered very desirable and were a sign that the person was smart. Big penises were associated with unintelligence and barbarism. This is why Greek and Roman statues featured males with small penises.
