Keeping a journal and writing about your emotions at certain times might help you figure out patterns. For example, if you write in your journal that you are stressed out on Thursday night during the school year, it might be because your English teacher gives a vocabulary test that Friday. Then, you can do things conducive (things that assist or help) to lessen or eliminate stressful times. You could enjoy relaxing classical music on those days and possibly spend some time doing a hobby you enjoy, such as building model planes or cars or even model railroading. Even 20 minutes can help lessen your anxiety.

Physical exertion, such as shooting some basketball hoops with a good friend, could alleviate (reduce or eliminate) stressful feelings. Even a simple art project, like sketching something for a short time, could help.

Talking about your stress to an adult you can trust can also help very much, even if the adult doesn't offer any way to reduce the stress you are feeling, because just talking about a problem you have without getting any feedback or little feedback, other than someone listening to you, can at times really help.
